This dashboard displays the progress of teacher candidates toward achieving their teacher certifications.

This is a fictional dashboard. The data used to generate this dashboard is completely fabricated with with fake names, certifications, exam results, observations, etc. Any resemblance to real individuals, schools, certifications, or events is purely coincidental.

This dashboard is an intentional first look, built to show the big picture and spark the conversation.

A full featured dashboard could includes role-based views for candidates, teachers, mentors, and administrators; stoplight color coding for completion status; interactive filters; smart logic checks for required vs. optional exams; rich tooltips; and full certification compliance.

This is the foundation. Everything else gets built to your specs once we move forward together.


Dashboard Overview

  • Status: This is the page everyone wants. It shows all of the requirements and the completion status for every candidate-certificate combination.
  • Exams: Shows every exam taken by each candidate for a certificate, along with the results and whether the exam was mandatory.
  • Evaluations: Shows every Field Based Evaluation conducted for each candidate, including the evaluator, notes, and duration.
  • Observations: Shows every Field Based Observation conducted by each candidate, including the teacher observed, notes, and duration.
  • Map: Map of where each candidate is working.

Certification Requirements

Each teacher certification requires candidates to complete four types of requirements:
  • Exams: Candidates must pass required exams.
  • Field-Based Evaluations: An experienced teacher must observe and evaluate the candidate for a minimum of 50 hours.
  • Field-Based Observations: The candidate must observe an experienced teacher for a minimum of 30 hours.
  • Background Check: All candidates must pass a background check.
